Google To Add Voice Recognition Search to iPhone

Google researchers have come up with voice recognition technology for the iPhone that will work with the company's search software. The free application could find it's way into the App Store as early as today.

With this new app, you'll be able to ask, "Where is the nearest pizzeria?" The software will convert the speech to a digital file and gets sent to Google's servers. The search results then get pushed back to your iPhone. Since it includes local area information, the returned list will provide a list of pizzerias in your area. For anyone with a Starbuck's addiction, this is the app for you.
