Apps of the week

The leaves are starting explode with color, your favorite beverage is available in a pumpkin flavor and there are so many great new apps lining the shelves of the App Store. This week, we let the kids create their own TV shows, track down deadbeats in the afterlife, and find new ways to pair down our photo libraries. TeleStory

With TeleStory, it lets kids explore their creativity while creating original TV shows and more. The app lets you write, direct and star in their own program. Kids can choose from different categories that include music videos (The Band), science fiction (Star Adventure), mystery adventure (EyeSpy) and TeleStory for completely original work.

TeleStory

With a theme selected, there over 30 animated scenes to help with the filming of your story. TeleStory includes playful TV tropes to help in the crafting of a script. When its time to perform, there are 50 digital costumes to help you get into character.

Skullduggery

In what has to be one of the most interesting plot lines, our here is a Semi-Organic Autonomous Skull working for the IRS (Infernal Revenue Service). You flick around your skull, using the elasticity of your own brain. An original concept that benefits from the artwork of Bill Mudron, inspired by the Max Fleischer animations of the 1930s.

The single player mode features three unique worlds with a combined 24 levels of action as you hunt down deadbeats. There are all sorts of collectibles, treasures and power ups that will help as you engage in epic boss battles.

Flic

One of the most daunting tasks facing iPhone users is an ever-growing photo library, at a time when trying to make the most of your storage. Removing photos can have a big impact and that’s where Flic hopes to help.
