We may have less sunshine, but that doesn’t dampen our enthusiasm for some great new apps in the App Store. This week, we take on viking hordes, journey across the Wildlands, create some wicked beats and change our bedtime routine. It’s time for the everythingiCafe apps of the week for November 9th, 2014.

Day of the Viking

With over 80 missions, 10 challenge levels and 40 trophies, you’ll spend much more than a day with these vikings. The Adult Swim game pits you against a waves of marauding vikings. Can you save your castle and the princess? The viking horde isn’t in a particularly good mood. Winter has set in and they are in desperate need of food and supplies.

Day of the Viking

You’ll encounter dozes of enemies. Using unlockable (and IAP) weapon upgrades and boosts, you’ll fight to the end. The visuals are filled with artwork that shines on any iOS device. Day of the Viking also mixes in a bit of humor, keeping your battle with angry hordes on the lighter side.

Nighty Night Circus

From the development team that brought Nighty Night, winner of the Apple App of the year in 2012, have released a sequel. The game features bedtime-inspired designs by Oscar nominated artist Heidi Wittlinger. Children can interact with eight different animals, all of which will perform tricks before the child goes to sleep.

Though it is interactive, it’s meant to help with the daily night time ritual of bedtime. Soothing lullaby music accompanies the narration. It’s a modern-day storybook that your kids are bound to enjoy.

Keezy Drummer

If you’re the musical type or simply aspire to make really cool beats, Keezy Drummer makes it super easy. The interface is simplified, allowing you to create beats using 12 percussion sounds. You can layer up to nine sounds at once. With each percussion, you can adjust the BPM (beats per minute) from 0 to 300. All of the graphics are finger friendly, made for iPhone and focused on allowing you to channel that internal mixmaster.

Keezy Drummer

You can’t save your work, but with support for AirPlay, you can rock the party. If the idea of a simple, fun and intuitive drum machine sounds good, Keezy is your ticket to dropping beats.

World of Warriors

Billed as an “epic combat and strategy game”, World of Warriors has stormed the App Store. With a rating of 4.5/5 star rating from almost 38,000 users. Featuring stunning 3D graphics, your journey across the Wildlands will pit you against the mighty Skull Army. You’ll amass an army from 100s of real-life warriors. Using a combination of strategy, sheer will and the always helpful “mind-blowing special attacks”, you’ll defeat the evil king Boneshaker.

While free to play, there are an array of IAPs. Some reviews have noted the added cost of ‘real money’ to unlock characters.
