As a lucky kid who owned a TurboGrafx-16, I have a soft spot for R-Type II. Side-scrolling arcade shooters don’t get any more retro, nor classic than this. It’s been faithfully reproduced for iPhone and iPad. Battle through six levels, each with a unique boss. Party like it’s 1989 with R-Type II.

Based on an episode in Adventure Time, Card Wars is everything but your typical card game. Engage in card combat using an army of warriors. As you collect new cards, you’ll boost your creatures, spells and towers. If you love Adventure Time and have an admiration for collectible card games in the vein of MTG (Magic the Gathering), check out Card Wars. One cautionary note: this game has a healthy amount of IAP (in-app purchases) and might be tough on your wallet.
