As we move into the dog days of summer, the App Store offers up some cool hits. This week, we point our iPhones to the sky, find fun under the sky, experience some fabulous filters, discover an appetite for arcade gaming and when we’re not staring into our retina displays, we’re stargazing. It’s time for the everythingiCafe apps of the week for August 24th, 2014.
Star Walk II
The follow-up to the Apple Design Award winner, Star Walk II is your guide to the sky. An app that makes stargazing fun, easy and informative, all you need to do is point your iPhone at the sky. This tool will let you learn about thousands of stars, comets, and constellations, all from the palm of your hand.
Over 10 million users of the original, Star Walk II combines premium technology with an all new design that uses atmospheric visual and sound for an unrivaled astronomy experience.

Dong Nguyen, creator of the Flappy Birds, is back with yet another game that is easy to pick up and play, but simply too addictive to put down. Free to play, barring the ads, the concept is simple. You navigate your way using your propeller hat. With each pair of swinging hammers you pass, you score a point.
Swing Copters looks to equally fun as it can be frustrating. Nguyen seems to have a knack for delivering quirky, retro-animated games that will have your thumb begging for mercy.
