Apps Gone Free: tripwolf Travel Guides

Planning to head overseas soon? How about some recently made free travel guides, to help you on your way? The tripwolf series of apps have just dropped the price on seven different cities, making them free. Unfortunately, there aren’t many reviews for the guides themselves, so I have no idea how accurate they are — but wherever you go extra information is always useful. Plus, free is free.

The tripwolf guides seem to use both traditional guidebook methods, and community advice and information to keep things up to date. They also have offline maps, so you can find yourself without costing a fortune in data.

  1. These are only preview guides…you need to upgrade to get the subway map(for London or Paris) and there is nothing in the rest of the app other than a few teasers… don’t waste your time. They are really misleading.

Really? Oh, that’s super scummy. I assumed because they were paid apps marked down to free, there would be more content included. That’s incredibly lame — and why people need to review apps they get which are crap!
