For quite some time, Apple has sourced components for their products in lower-cost Asian countries. That’s not entirely the case any more, according to a Reuters article today. Samsung Electronics, responsible for manufacturing Apple’s A5 chip used in the current generation iPhone 4S and iPad 2, is now being manufactured in the great state of Texas. Samsung’s new 3.6 billon dollar facility, which is said to be the size of nine football fields, reached full production in December.
