Apple Warns Users Of Unauthorized Modifications, Jailbreaking

Curious timing of a new support article posted at Apple.com on the eve of the evasi0n jailbreak. The article titled, “Unauthorized modification of iOS can cause instability, security vulnerabilities, shortened battery life, and other issues.” It goes on to list a host of bad things that can happen to perfectly good iPhones.

  • Unreliable voice and data
  • Disruption of services
  • Inability to apply future software updates

Sounds pretty bad. If that wasn’t enough to ward you off from the evils of jailbreaking, they also advise you that it could result in denial of service for your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.

  1. I have had a jailbreak on my iPhone 4S back then. And i observed some kind of problems with my jailbreak. So i deinstalled it cause i didnt even use it much. Ever since, no problems.
