Apple today released a software update 4.4.4 for the Apple TV. The software update includes general performance and stability improvements, including a fix for an issue that displayed an error when playing some video content. As you’ll note, the changelog is rather vague, so let us know if you see any improvements.
Here’s how you can get the latest Apple TV software update:
To update your Apple TV to the current software version:
- Select Settings > General using your Apple Remote.
- Click Update Software. At this time your Apple TV checks to see if an update is available and a download message should appear if an update is available.
- Click Download and Install to start the download process.Important: Do not disconnect your Apple TV during the update process.
