9 to 5 Mac have been diving under the hood of the Apple TV’s firmware, and have discovered something interesting: it appears to have some files in place for DVD and Facetime features. They think this might be leftover code, but there are also references to Bluetooth devices, and there’s some evidence that the front-end of iOS on the Apple TV might be able to transmit to the iPad.
The presence of Facetime on the Apple TV seems to hint at broadcasting your Facetime conversation with AirPlay, putting their face up on the big screen, while the video is pulled from something smaller and more local.
