Chinese manufacturer In icons has plans on releasing a Steve Jobs action figure in February and have received the proverbial nasty gram from Apple threatening legal action over the action figure. It’s being reported that Apple has sent a letter indicating that any toy which resembles the company’s logo, person’s name or likeness is a violation of their rights.
The Steve Jobs action figure features Jobs trademark mock turtleneck, sneakers and blue jeans. It also includes accessories such as black socks, glasses, a leather belt, two apples, a bar stool and a “One More Thing” backdrop. If this sees the light of day, you can expect to pay $99 for the complete set. If you don’t want to miss out, they were available on eBay for $135, but have since sold out. One retailer is selling one for $224.99.
