Apple Stores Might Allow 30 Day Exchange Of 3rd Generation iPad

The biggest surprise coming from today’s Apple event had to be the fourth generation iPad. While many had speculated that we’d see a refresh that would include the new Lightning connector, the release of a fourth generation with an upgraded processor has to smart for those who recently purchased the 3rd generation. If you purchased your 3rd generation iPad within the last 30 days, you might be able to exchange it for a new fourth generation model, at no extra cost. This comes via CNET who notes that the Stock Street store in San Francisco is adjusting their policy. They are quick to note that it might not extend to other stores.

If you are considering an exchange, I’d recommend sooner than later. As for whether it’s worth the trouble, that would be a definitive “YES”. The new fourth generation iPad includes the A6X processor that will provide speeds up to twice as fast as the previous 3rd generation model.

The new fourth generation iPad is available for pre-order on Friday, with the release scheduled for November 2nd.
