Apple And Samsung CEOs Meet Today In San Francisco

Last month we reported that Apple’s and Samsung’s CEOs were to be forced to meet, and try and arbitrate their way out of the ongoing legal wranglings between the two companies. That day has finally come, and Apple’s Tim Cook and Samsung’s Choi Gee-sung are expected to meet in a San Francisco federal courthouse today.

It’s unknown if this attempt at mediation will amount to anything — after all, they’ll still have lawyers at their beck and call — but we can hope that this will stem the tide of litigation that seems to have enveloped the smartphone world.

And yet, as acrimonious as this fighting appears to be, Samsung is still a major supplier for Apple — a relationship I will never fully understand.
