Apple Releases iOS 6.1 Update

Just two days removed from the weekend beta 5 release to developers, Apple has released iOS 6.1 update. The update is available OTA or over the air. This is a free update available to all devices compatible with iOS 6, which we’ve listed after the break.

This update contains improvements and bug fixes, including:

  • LTE support for more carriers (complete list of supported carriers at www.apple.com/iphone/LTE
  • Purchase movie tickets through Fandango with Siri (USA only)
  • iTunes Match subscribers can now download individual songs from iCloud
  • New button to reset the Advertising Identifier

Compatible devices:

  • iPad 2, 3, 4
  • iPad mini
  • iPod touch 4th and 5th generation
  • iPhone 4, 4S, 5
