Everybody loves the iPad Smart Cover — but the only real downside is that it only protects the very front of your device. Now, Apple has quietly unveiled a new product: the iPad Smart Case, which adds rear protection to the mix. Unlike the Smart Cover, the Smart Case is only available in polyurethane — there’s no leather here. It’ll stick to the back of the iPad, and protect its metal rear from dings, scratches, dents, and all other matter of trouble.
Compatible with both the iPad 2 and new iPad, it’ll set you back a cool $49, and is available in light gray, dark gray, blue, green, pink, and RED.

I am really interested in this case by Apple. I hope it’s strong. I just don’t like the fact that it does not cover the ports. I have an iSkin Solo Smart and it covers the ports and protects the iPad while locking the Smart Cover in place.
