Apple Previews New MobileMe Calendar

Calendar Apple Previews New MobileMe Calendar

Apple is in the middle of introducing a new version of Calendar for MobileMe, and they’re looking for guinea pigs. If you want to try out the new Calendar app, all you have to do is go to me.com/calendar and click “Request an invitation.” Apple will drop you a line when you’ve been added to the beta.

So what does this new version offer? It has a complete visual redesign, easy sharing between users, publishable read-only versions, invitations with RSVPs, and compatibility across all Mac devices.

It certainly looks pretty, and is in keeping with the general graphical overhaul Apple has been doing to MobileMe of recent. I wonder if this will ever filter down to their desktop apps to? iCal is way overdue for a major overhaul.

Still so crude compared with the Palm OS of many years ago (sigh). Still using Palm Centro for all scheduling due to icon and viewing capabilities. Using iPhone 4 and iPad for all else (except music- need an iPod due to small storage space on other units)
    Maybe one day, Apple?
