The legal battle between Samsung and Apple over who copied who and what patents are being abused is as confusing as it is stupid. It seems that every time a decision is made in one country, it gets appealed, and the opposite decision gets made somewhere else. So while Apple may be winning against Samsun on some fronts, it is not so much in the UK. In fact, a judge has just ordered Apple to run ads informing the people of Britain that Samsung didn’t copy them on the iPad.
The judge has ruled that Apple must run a notice on its UK website for six months, as well as place a notice in several newspapers and magazines, to clear up any confusion that Samsung may have cribbed the iPad’s design into their own tablet.
The ads have to go up in the he Financial Times, the Daily Mail, Guardian Mobile magazine, and T3.
Unsurprisingly, Apple is appealing.
