Apple Invites Foreign Journalists To This Year’s WWDC

wwdc 500x193 Apple Invites Foreign Journalists To This Years WWDC

Earlier this week, we heard that Apple was inviting journalists from the UK to come to this year’s WWDC, and now they’re apparently hitting up writers from Australia too. The tweet above has since been deleted, but tech journalistsĀ Charlie Brown posted earlier today that he’d received an invite from Apple.

In general, everything’s been very hush-hush about these invites, but with these invites headed out to writers all over the world, we can’t help but think something big is going to happen. Do ou readers think that iOS 5 will be a big enough announcement to warrant all this extra attention? Or is something more going on? I’m curious if it has something to do with NFC payments, which made a big splash with Google earlier this week. The other big pull would be iTunes in the cloud.
