Just days after a judge issued a preliminary injunction banning sales of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, Apple has won yet another key legal victory, this time being granted a preliminary injunction against the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. If the Tab 10.1 decision was a body blow, this is certainly an upper-cut to the Korean based company. Apple must pay a $96 million bond in order for the injunction to take effect.
As for the reasoning behind the decision, it is directly related to Apple’s patent on unified search within an operating system.
