Apple Found To Violate A Single Motorola Patent

In the seemingly eternal battle between major corporations in the world of IP, Motorola has won something of a victory against Apple. The U.S. International Trade Commission has ruled that Apple violated one of Motorola’s patents. Yup, that’s right. One. This is from a suit filed in October 2010, and was originally over four patents. Three were dismissed, and one related to Wi-Fi was upheld.

And now Apple appeals. And the dance goes, the lawyers get paid, we all get fed up, and nothing gets accomplished.

Is anyone else  just incredibly sick and tired of hearing about all these cases, stretched across the planet, seemingly between every combination of tech companies imaginable? How bad does it have to get before some sort of reform is instituted? Enough with the patent trolling!
