In response to Nokia attempting to ban imports of Apple products into America, Apple has gone ahead and filed an almost identical complaint. They seek to block the import of Nokia mobile phones to the United States. Nokia responded:
“Nokia will study the complaint when it is received and continue to defend itself vigorously. However this does not alter the fact that Apple has failed to agree appropriate terms for using Nokia technology and has been seeking a free ride on Nokia’s innovation since it shipped the first iPhone in 2007.”
This move is unsurprising, given Nokia’s previous complaint to the ITC. Hopefully, this posturing will soon abate, and these issues can be dealt with.
