Angry Birds Space launched on March 22nd, and in just 3 days hit a whopping 10 million downloads — a speed you’d expect to drop after the initial burst, right? Not so much, it seems. Rovio is claiming that in the month since the app launched, it’s been downloaded 50 million times (of which at least a handful are thanks to us).
For comparison, that’s more people than there are in Canada, and around the same number as South Korea.
Rovio’s not using this moment to sit on their laurels, instead teasing us with this pronouncement:
There’s only one conclusion to draw: something even bigger is on its way! Stay tuned and keep flinging those Birds!
I’m guessing it’ll be Angry Birds Time. It’s the only possible explanation.
