5th Gen iPad Coming In March, Reportedly Thinner and Lighter

A report tonight from Japanese blog Macotakara (translation) suggests that Apple is planning to release a 5th generation iPad as soon as March of 2013. The design of the new iPad will mirror the design cues of the iPad mini.

Source told that, design of this new iPad will be like iPad mini in detail, and be thinner and lightweight.

(The expectation comes to have a small 4mm in height, 17mm in width, depth 2mm)

Apple broke their typical yearly cycle when they released the fourth generation iPad just 6 months after the iPad 3. If this report comes to fruition, it’ll an even shorter product cycle of roughly 4-5 months for the iPad 4.
