5 Million Free Apps Downloaded Per Day in November from Apple’s App Store

Wow!  Though the number is large, it should not come as a huge surprise to anyone.  Apple had over 5 Million free apps being downloaded per day this past November.  This number comes from Fiksu, a mobile marketing firm.  The firm also notes this is an 83% increase from last year at the same time.  No doubt this has to do with the fairly recent release of both the iPhone 4S and iOS 5.  With those came many new Apple customers and many app promotions.  Many of these promotions turned paid apps, free.  As new products and product rumors come into existence, so do more customers, app development capability, and apps.  Expect this number to continue its upward rise for the foreseeable future.

  1. This article suggests a spell check app wasn’t included in those downloads by the folks at ‘everythingicafe’.  ;-)
