A parts supplier sent these shots to MacRumors, which look to be the LCD and bezel of an upcoming refresh to the iPod Touch line — expected for this September. The parts have an obvious second hole, which can only mean one thing: FaceTime is coming to the iPod Touch. It’s exactly the right size and shape for a front-facing camera, and since FaceTime is Wi-Fi only, it would be perfect.
The leak we heard this morning about a rear camera for the iPod Touch was based on specs sent out for the back of the iPod, where this would be the front.
The parts photographed above are stamped with a manufacture date of April 29, 2010, marking them as particularly recent.

The hole could be the light sensor.
Why would an ipod touch need a light sensor for? You don’t exactly have to put it up to your head at all and i don’t think it has the auto-brightness feature…
Mine has auto brightness, not sure what you’re talking about sir.
My iPod has auto-brightness
